I'm looking for something to keep track of contacts, open call tickets, and keep detailed journal entries.. Outlook does a fairly decent job however it's system doesn't have the functionality I'm looking for, at least not from what I can see. I'm looking for something along the lines of "Heat" and database software of that sort.

Access might be a good choice. It's a light database with easy front end programming built in.
