Video Surveillance

You want to see actual footage playback from said systems! The software makes a lot of difference but what are the video recording specs? size/type/mode ect ect...

I had to look at a bunch of systems when we were writing specs for digital surveillance for Casinos. My head still hurts from all that crap!

Intellex is what we used when I did Loss Prevention at Sears and the software was pretty good. I've never used anything else though.

I work in a courthouse and we had an Intellex system installed here during a renovation two years ago. 38 camera's, outside PTZ's, three DVR's, a really nice system for the size of our building. I can't speak for the other brand, but I know we chose Intellex as the standard for all of our courthouses in the Province. I find the system extremely easy to learn, and the video quality it produces is excellent. It has a ton of features that we don't use but from poking around in them I can see how their system could be used for massive projects.

We also had a casino built here last year and they are using the same Intellex system.
