btw, funny story that i will admit because i am drunk
the second most brutal climb i have ever done was a traverse of the south taconic plateu
it was probably about 16 miles (too drunk to check) and a max of 2,000 vertical prominence.
normally it wouldn't be a problem
but the problem was that i sort of fell off a ledge while trying to get a shot of one of the biggest waterfalls in MA
'this fucked up my knee
but i pressed on for the rest of the day
by the time i got back to my car (aftare like a 6 mile roadwalk because i sure as shit could not climb back over the ridge) my knee had basically locked up completely

i still laugh at myself for getting hurt on something so minor
 
also kura you should visit colorado and hike some of the 14ers. i have hiked several, very beautiful. mt elbert, highest mtn in colorado, is phenomenally beautiful. so is mt la plata. i have climbed yale, harvard, massive, princeton, antero, elbert, and la plata. all awesome.

i live in a place where im pretty much equidistant from a bunch of towns/shopping areas, so i change up

i've been to the ellington big y twice
it's actually pretty nice
it drove ellington food out of business, though.
i liked ellington food

i should go back to the holiday restaurant in ellington sometime
i haven't been there in 10 years or so
but i rememebr that their chicken parm was awesome

the 14kers are on my list
i actually have about 300 mountains on my to do list. i use google earth to plot them all.

i hope to have the NH 48 done by the end of the summer.
the NE100 are my goal by next pring.
then there's the NE50 finest.... and I'm about half through that list.
And of course there are they Adirondack 46 that I haven't even started on.

But the CO 14Ks are definitely on my list.
I was actually hoping to get out west again this summer. I was debating CO, MT, and OR.
But I am suffering way more financially than I had hoped because some bitch ran me over last year and i have to pay out of pocket.
so i'm not getting out west. :(
my "big trip" this year might be a couple nights in maine and hopefully a climb of katahdin.

and i won't be able to get out west next year either.
i'm hoping to start on the AT next year by May 1st.

fun fact that i'm sharing now that i'm drunk

there used to be a fucking incredible butcher right near that big y.
i used to stop by once a month. they'd been there forever. they seriously had the best meat i had ever seen.

but they moved about 2 years ago. now they're in... north willington? Whatever that town right next to tolland is.
they're only open like one day a week now and their quality seemed to slip.
i was seriously bummed

they had everything i could possibly want and it was easily 20x better than anywhere else.
their filet mignon was like butter converted into beef.

i am also super fucking pissed that valley fish went out of business
but you probably wouldn't know about that since you aren't from that area.

See, for me, I don't get headaches.
I just wake up and feel like I had every ounce of energy forcefully ripped out of each cell through their membranes. My whole body rejects the idea of doing anything remotely active.
But I never get a headache.

Also, women are crazy.

honestly
i have no problem with scooby
he has a problem with me for the following reason;
in the thread where he said he had gotten married
i posted
"was stega at the wedding" knowing that scooby e-hated strega
ever since then
he has made it his mission to fight with me.

honestly
i find him very entertaining
but my forum persona dictates that i must fight with him (which is fun)

as for being drunk
i generally drink once a week if that.
scooby seems to drink every night
so i feel that my persona's attacks on him are somewhat justified by that fact.
