Ask me anything about Mass Effect 2

I'm bummed. My Xbox died last week and it took the hard drive with it so I lost all my saved games. I was hoping to see how my choices in the first game effected ME2.
 
Can you give me some DLC codes for ME2? I am currently pirating it and would appreciate some armor and weapon codes :)
 
I cannot wait until this game comes out. The first was one of my favorite RPG's. I'm going to disappear for a while when I get it.
 
I have a question:

I played through ME1 and loved it.

But that was a long time ago, and I lost my saved game file.
If I start ME2 without my old character, will i be able to say "hey i killed such and such last time around" and basically tailor it to how my character was before?

If not, what type of stuff will i miss out on?

Doesn't look like you can do that.

so far i've seen influences from
5th element (start)
ghostbusters (building with clouds circling atop)
V for vendetta (jack)
ID4 (virus time)
Star wars (carbonite)
