Today's progress. Patched the vent holes, and reinforced some of the thin wood.

That's a 36 x 22.5 sheet of 5/8 inch ply with a 2x4 to support it.

7.5 x 7 plug to fill the vent hole.

Shingled to the ridge as far down the peak as I could.

From there I went to work on the sun room. Stripped the flashing off the skylight and put a few shingles down.

Tomorrow I'll ice shield around the skylight curb, and get a coil of flashing and shingle that side of the sun room. I'll be doing some wood on the other side. Fucking OSB...

Midxe didn't even realize this is new construction with reclaimed materials.

If you're going to build a cabin, this is the way to go. Heat pump and all.

hell i have a heat pump for my house and my a/c bills are fucking low as dirt
