No one wants to hear it, but cops generally are not racist. They work alongside people from all walks of life, black, brown, yellow, whatever.

But they hate and distrust civilians. They have a very low opinion of the people they serve, viewing them all as scumbags. It’s a pervasive us versus them mentality. It’s partially true, but clouds their judgement of any situation, both on and off the job.

Cops also stick together. All of their friends are cops. They hang out in cop bars. They can’t relate to civilians because civilians don’t understand the cops point of view.

I get sick and tired of the subject of race injected into these conversations. It’s stupid and spouted by stupid people.
