imo the attitude of 'you have to simp for everything i say or you're the devil' is fairly recent (last 3-5 years) but that's more a reflection of the tone of political discourse country-wide over the last while

we just take it to the next level of extreme because most of tw never grew out of the edgy 12 year old saying retarded shit just to get attention phase
