I just don't see the value. All these variable ways to deal with self-kill introduces so much "if/elseif/elseif/else" conditioning for such a marginal change in gameplay it just doesn't make sense to me.
Unless we start talking like 5-10 second punsihments, which I cannot describe my hatred for in any game that inflicts them.
