Except that contributers who donated a few years ago never have to make another payment. You can just sit on your fat ass and come back in 5 years and still have your contributer tag. Like it would matter anyway since you're an admin.

1) Rayn set everyone to 2 years a while ago so it doesn't matter what you did many years back.
2) I spend $30 a month on this place running the IRC server on top of the thousands I've spent over the past 8 years. My contributor tag is all paid up.

Edit: Actually, add another $20 a month for the attachments server. So $50 a month for the many grateful people just like yourself.
 
Good deal, Colosus, but I was just making an example. Most of the contributers who are calling the situation fair in this thread are the ones who are grandfathered into the system.

Read point #1. No one is grandfathered in. (except maybe Rancher Dan and TheRedDread since they've done multiple hundreds of dollars over the years).
 
I've always wondered if the people that complain in these types of threads were just joking around or getting really serious about a search engine on a internet forum they have accessed for years and haven't paid for.
