What is this healthcare bullshit

I’ve had pretty much free healthcare sponsored through my employer for the past 3years but recently have received a new and at first glance, generous offer. However upon further inspection their benefits package is trash. $6k/yr for enrollment? No payout until after $6k deductible is met? Max out of pocket is $12k? So I’m possibly on the hook for $18k/yr for a family plan if there’s a health emergency?

So I look at the Obamacare plans and fucking guess what, if you’re offered an employer sponsored plan you no longer qualify for any subsidies or tax breaks on your public plan and you pay full price.

Since when did this healthcare shit get so prohibitively expensive and broken? Last time I looked at the market it was expensive but now it’s just ridiculous.

I guess ya great, more people are enrolled I guess, but for the people paying into this it’ll be too much to ever use.

Should have done what I did.
Live in California next to the border.
Get a job that offers SIMSA (mexican health ins)
SIMNSA - Health Plan

Marry a Mexican so you can sign up as a spouse
(that's right, this is only offered to Mexican citizens
and they can get it living in the states)
cheap less than ~$150/m full coverage no deductible
better drugs better service better coverage than Kaiser
(and ya, it fucking really isn't fair)

Or did what I did. No kids, working spouse. It is a lot cheaper to live. You wouldn't believe it.

It's still Obamacare, and that's why people like you need to vote the republican ticket. Trump wanted to fix healthcare but can't get the votes. He took out the mandate by executive order, but Obamacare still exists. Blame the left. It's a big reason why Trump is going to win. Because people like you are finally realizing how screwed you are with healthcare. The cost went up, your deductible went up, and it doesn't cover much.

So dare went to mexico for dent removal, and just as the anesthesia was starting to work the doctor said "careful, hot plate."
 
Just slinging some back of the napkin numbers and going from $48k to $60k isn’t really a good deal since I lose $1,200 in food stamps, lose my free benefits etc. I was thinking if I lost $10k in salary I’d be at poverty level and get even better benefits and food stamps and subsidies and actually be making more. So in that range of like $30k-$60k it doesn’t really because If you have no money for healthcare the government gives it to you but if you have enough money the government takes it from you so it ends up practically even.

So even with better salary it’s really just a lateral move with potential for either slightly better money or slightly worse money depending on healthcare cost but also I get better opportunity and a pathway for career growth. I would lose my private office and bathroom which would be a major bummer.

This is why socialism doesn't work. There's no reason for people to move up when gubiment takes it all to pay for those not working. That's why the minorities don't work. They're only making McJob wages, yet they are being taxed and asked to pay into health care. They give up, quit their job, and become sponges while complaining the gibument isn't doing enough.

Meanwhile, the left is saying all illegals can come here, get free health care, college, housing, jobs, and free money.

Do you see why conservatives don't want this?

I’m moving my career into the direction of fork lift repair man. I think that will dove tail nicely with garage hot tub and Kawasaki mule.
