just built a system for a friend with the ASUS Sabertooth.

ASUS makes good shit. Ive build all my comps with ASUS except for one (Soltek)
 
I might actually go with a Gigabyte mobo.

It seems a lot of folk are having trouble with both ram and boards going into a loop when going from a cold boot on the asus p67 boards.

I'm trying to figure out why you'd contact customer support and am drawing a blank...

Built like 10 systems with their mb over the years and never any issues.

Website visit all I needed for bios update or what not.

If you can't manage their website you're pretty much an idiot and don't need to be building your own system.

by who? every company has the occasional bad hardware come out. And you dont hear about the millions of perfect boards out there, but that one person that gets a shitty board from their local pc store bargain bin will tell everyone they know.

I've used asus on a lot of builds, never had a problem with them.
