No it is generals.

I thought it was DoW too at first, but those are definitely general's explosions and cross referencing google finds a generals mod in the works (or rather whisperings of such), but no site.

they're either assholes, or it's because they don't want a threat for when they release SC2

could be either way.
 
Looks really good and when i saw the video i was like Oh shit i wanna get this then i saw how blizzard shut it down and well.... :\

The zerg/protoss hybrid idea was actually presented by Blizzard originally. Was a brief mission at the end of the expansion where you stumble across stuff hinting at zerg/protoss hybrid.

Nothing can threatened an SC2 release. It will dominate the RTS genre like WoW did to MMOs.
 
i'd love to see the storyline behind a hybrid protoss/zerg race. that was one of the best damn storylines ever in a video game, if not the best.

so many twists and plot developments during a scene, and they'd put your *right* into full action of it when the map started. i love the ones where you start with barely enough guys to get by under surprise attack...

f'n awesome game.
