Why can't web browsers have a set of fucking standards?

Fuck the Netscape/Mozilla users, just design it for Explorer. Don't like 90% people use Explorer?

They do have standards, it's just how the different browsers interpret them.

They do have the whole W3C standard system, IE just chooses to ignore it.
with i.e. monopolizing, firefox gaining ground, and retards still using netscape...

yea... at least falkhawk has an idea of what i'm talking about.

There ARE standards, they just aren't adhered to.

I feel your pain though if you are trying to do design work. Having to test with multiple browsers is a bitch.

I know exactly what you're talking about. I just find it funny that the biggest browser virtually disregards standards set forth by the creator of URL, HTTP, and HTML...

dual monitors are a godsend. tre would be awesome, but maybe overkill.. i dunnoo maybe i'll get a 3rd.

i'm glad my browser doesn't have fucking standards. i'd never be able to get kinky fetish porn if it did.

I have a nielson book about designing for web usability. He has a chapter dedicated to the differences in browsers. After reading that my hatred for web design got even stronger.

Yep, the issue with various browsers sucking at standards is infuriating. I've gotten pretty good at working around each's various little shitstains though, so it does get better as you keep practising.. honest. Just remember, every time you get something which makes no sense, google it (eg: css ie image margin). Chances are somebody's come across it before, and there's a workaround somewhere or other. That's how I keep myself sane at least.
