Hi, MC!

Jump to last post
We're sorry, we can't come to the phone right now while we're on contract. If you'd like to leave a message kindly leave one after the beep.

ps - your moms box.

The irony is that their spy let them know exactly when to attack us, while are on the other side of the galaxy. Considering AAA have said repeatedly that they want to fight us I'm semi surprised that they felt the need to sucker punch our const while we were away on contract. Then again I probably shouldn't be surprised I suppose.

They can take J8 for all I (as in me personally) care. Hell most of the MC are calm about this tbh. Considering we're out numbered by a ratio of at least 3:1 there's a solid chance we might lose it so why stress? We can pick it up later on or just base out of empire again. MC's first year was based solely out of empire so its no true reason for us to stress over. You fail to realize we don't have any ties to any one corp, alliance or location. We only care about the MC and for the right price, our clients. Trust me on this. We'll manage just fine.

At the end of the day we'll be taking contracts either out of our home space or out of empire spce. Maybe then people will stop thinking we're BoB allies ffs hehe.

I personally wouldn't mind using this base to kick BoB in the balls with.

At the same time, it took a fscking 6 hours to get there -.-;

Evil Thug on TS is a hoot most of the time though. "SHUT DA FWUCK UP ON GANG CHANNEL!"

I will say this, I respect AAA's desires just to go out and have a good fight. On the other hand I've witnessed first hand the meta gaming log on trap bullshit and I find it fairly lame. These days in EVE being lame is the norm unfortunately . MC prides itself on trying to give a stand up, zero meta gaming fight. For the most part I think we succeed there. Wish our targets could say the same.

It's not a log on trap if you know they're going to be there. What do you suggest attackers do? Do you expect MC to head back to the nearest NPC station to logout for the night and then come back later regardless of jumps?

The only real logon trap anymore is one for catching Freighters.

So you're justifying it? Interesting.

Waiting for an enemy fleet to enter siege mode then having everyone log in at the same time is "legit". No ability to scout them out. No ability to get numbers, ship types, fittings etc. Just logon if the situation is perfect otherwise you stay logged off. Yeah, not meta gaming at all there.

The MC have gone in to many, many fights out numbered and outgunned. We're not afraid of a stand up fight especially if we think it'll be fun. You can ask MM about the engagements we've had with them the last two weeks if you don't believe me. We're not Goons, however, and we don't believe in suicide tactics especially with cap ships. Going in blind into a fight where we're out numbered 3:1 or worse while having zero intel on the enemy fleet is foolish.

AAA are good fighters, I'll give'm that but an alliance of their size going out of their way for little ole us? Kinda surprising. :D

How is it any different with the advent of titans? When your enemy won't engage, you have to force their hand. It's not like RA/AAA haven't foregone the support and just dropped a cyno on attacking dreads, you can't scout an enemy dreadfleet if you have no idea where it's at either.

Not to mention they have to get in the system somehow and it's very easy to scout a logon trap or prevent them from setting it up.

So in other words you are completely justifying it and have no issues with it. Check.

Truth be told you won't get the epic fight you're looking for. Our cap fleet are needed for our contracts. Our constellation, on the other hand, isn't. You're coming at it from a stand point that we're a typical alliance that we'll fight to the end for our home yadda yadda yadda. We're not your typical alliance. If anything we're more nomadic than AAA is.

We could base ourselves out of empire and not even blink. Sure, the costs of the stations and the pos network would be an annoying loss but they've already paid for themselves a hundred times over. So while it'd be a bitter pill it would actually free us up from any ties of region\constellation ownership as well as detach us from a region that makes the mobs of EVE say "zomg you're BoB pets".

Anyways, sorry for being long winded today. I had the day off and have been forum whoring between TV sessions. :)

Login tarps is part of the game now. You can spin it however you like but tbh it sounds like whining.

Personal opinion more than whining. I dislike it but also realize that it is part of the game. I take pride in the fact that MC tries to play a clean game and are generally successful at it. 0_o /

Curiously enough, the fleet itself didn't know its true destination after we hit CB6G (or was it CBG6?) and Evil Thug said "Set Destination to 1-NJLK" and then posted on EVE-O a single-word thread: "die"
