Is it insulated?

I worked on my family’s mountain home in the winter replacing a ceiling that had fallen in. At first with no ceiling drywall the gas furnace ran all night long. Then I added the insulation the second night and it began to cycle on/off through the night. Third night I added the dry wall and taped the joints and it ran a few times.

Seems like air tightness makes a big difference

The ceiling is 90% closed in, but I have shit in the corner and projects to complete. I know once it's closed in it will get warmer. I have enough blow in insulation once it's closed in..
