Now, I've finally read it.


I LOVE how the NY times article both advertises the game (best EVE's got, ever) AND explains away the dev misconduct and player reaction as a Goon propaganda push.

I like it. Ive always knew helmar has his head on right.

Expect a rush to EVE like TW's own rush, which involved a couple Video Game mag's doing articles on some big heists.

God fucking damnit.

I go from contract to full-time starting December 4th. It will require going in to the office every day instead of getting to half-work from home. Losing a lot of my prime playing time the day before the fucking expansion.

I don't think he really "explains away" anything. They caught a guy cheating and gave him a raise. Then put in a bunch stop gaps to try to swallow up any bad PR before it hits the community. It was just better for him to say that than we now have IA and it'll never happen again! I don't think anything has happened near T20 level since then, but I'll never think of CCP as competent in the slightest. This shit is golden PR for GS anyway. They even threw it obnoxious as their title.

That's what I tried to say, but my thinking processes havent been working too hot lately. :,(

I think that leaves you with 1-2 hours after the server is expected to be up. Sure, the server has come up early on at least one of the other big patches, but that is at least a day closer to the DT than I would go.
