Are we currently at war? (last docked in Jita :( )

ALL of my shit is in Jita and I didn't bother loggin into my account the last few days of my last subscription because we were at war with some other corp. :hrm:

And also, can you make a decent living as a manufacturer in this game?

If I was to come back I was thinking about being more of a shipwright using a new char, or maybe a smuggler/hauler with my old char.

I'm itching to come back but I sucked at making monies in this game and need something to do other than getting podded by NPC's or being held hostage by gatecampers :(
 
You can make good as a manufacturer, provided you have a steady supply of resources and a good market for whatever it is. If you can get in the niche of building the kinds of ships and modules PvPers frequent, you'll be set.

A little copying, some research on the original while building with the copy, rinse repeat. :)

Assuming you're not trying to build in an already saturated area like Jita that is.
 
Not sure how true it is now with invention but essentially the only way to become filthy rich was through T2 BPOs. I reckon you can make some good isk out of invention though. Manufacturers, I think, have always been the leading way to make isk aside from RA complex whores.
 
Ok well, I've got a lot of time invested in my current char and he already has access to a self sufficient mining operation, already has monies and has good combat skills.

So my question is, would it be faster starting a 2nd character as a manufacturer from the start, or should I just start training the skills on my current char?



I'm seriously teetering on the edge here, someone give me a reason to come back :(
 
there is no reason to come back except tht all other games kinda suck right now.

I would never re-roll in this game now because of the devs constantly dipping their pens in company ink, and the only reason why I am still playing is because I have 2 chars over 20m sp and a tech 2 gallente fleet with almost 2 years invested.

If you want to make some monies, L4 missions is where its at. I make more an afternoon of missions than an afternoon ratting in fade/dek.

That's basically why I'm thinking about coming back, at least for a few months.

I keep my SW:G subscription up to date because of all the time I invested in the game and to make sure that I get all the vet/event/publish rewards, other than that it's a chat room for me. :hrm:

Other than that there's no online games that really appeal to me atm. :(
