As for Seattle, I highly recommend the Underground tour, especially if this weather keeps up. The Underground can be downright chilly, even in the hottest of summers.
Seattle Aquarium and Woodland Park Zoo are always winners too, if you're in to that sort of thing. Both are really nice establishments these days, well beyond the old animal-in-a-cage setup they used to be.
If you're looking for a good day hike either in the Cascades or the Olympics, check out the
Washington Trails Association. They usually have up-to-date trail conditions along with a "Find a hike" feature and a "Hike of the Week". (This is how I found out Kennedy Hotsprings was destroyed in a massive washout several years back
)
