Clown World 1 - update on Astroworld - rumours of people injecting others with fentanyl, etc.
To me - it looks like the crowd is just trying to gain illegal entry to the concert.... here's more....
Quote:
HOUSTON, Texas***8212;Music fans as young as 14 were killed on Friday night as a panic-fueled crowd surged during rapper Travis Scott***8217;s Astroworld Festival, turning the packed event it into one of the deadliest concerts in U.S. history.
Eight people died and 23 were hospitalized, including a 10-year-old child, in the crush during Scott***8217;s livestreamed opening-night performance. Attendees described being crushed to the point of passing out, having their pleas for help ignored, and seeing overwhelmed medics struggle to evacuate bodies from the Houston event.
The eight victims***8217; ages ranged from 14 to 27, Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner said Saturday afternoon. At least 11 people were hospitalized suffering cardiac arrest and more than 300 of the 50,000 attendees were treated at a field hospital on the grounds that day.
Houston officials said Saturday afternoon they were still investigating the possible cause of the crush and whether there were any ***8220;missteps***8221; in the planning and execution of the event.
Police Chief Troy Finner alluded to online rumors that the crush was possibly related to attendees being injected with drugs. But he said they only had evidence of one security guard being pricked in the neck with a needle while trying to apprehend a festival attendee. The guard fell unconscious, then was revived with Narcan, a drug to reverse the effects of fentanyl.

***8220;There were some individuals that were trampled, and we want to be respectful of that, but we just ask that y***8217;all give us time to do a proper investigation,***8221; Finner said.
County and city officials, who worked with Astroworld and Live Nation to stage the event at NRG Park, which is a county venue, insisted on Saturday they they had a ***8220;robust***8221; safety and security plan that didn***8217;t breach capacity limits.
There were 528 Houston Police officers on site, 755 private security guards and a third-party company provided medics, Finner said.
***8220;We***8217;re not taking anything off the table,***8221; Turner said. ***8220;This remains, and will be, a very active investigation.***8221;
The disaster began around 9:15 p.m. local time when the crowd began to compress toward the stage and people ***8220;began to fall out, become unconscious and it created additional panic,***8221; Houston Police Chief Lt. Larry Satterwhite, who was working near the stage, said earlier Saturday.
He said medics onsite were so overwhelmed they had to ask people in the crowd to administer CPR. Scott eventually ended his performance but fan videos and witness accounts provided to The Daily Beast showed him still performing as fans and paramedics performed CPR on passed-out concertgoers. Other videos show a cameraman ignoring attendees who were begging him to stop the show because people were dying.
Multiple videos showed fans dancing on top of emergency vehicles as they were trying to help unconscious people. In one clip, Scott spotted an ambulance with flashing lights, making mention of it from the stage, pausing for a few moments***8212;and then sending two members of his entourage diving off the stage to crowd surf.
In a statement Saturday afternoon, Scott said he was ***8220;absolutely devastated by what took place last night***8221; and gave his ***8220;total support***8221; to investigators.
Concertgoer Madeline Eskins, an ICU nurse who has worked in the ER, was trapped in a crush of bodies near the front of the stage and said she thought she was going to die.
***8220;I***8217;ve seen people die. Nothing could have prepared me for what I witnessed last night,***8221; Eskins, 23, told The Daily Beast. ***8220;I was about to tell my boyfriend to tell my son that I loved him, because I really thought that I was not gonna see him again. And before I could say anything, I fainted.***8221;
Eskins***8217; boyfriend and a good Samaritan lifted her up and ***8220;they basically crowd-surf me out of there,***8221; she said. She eventually came to in a safety zone just behind the teeming sea of people.
***8220;I wake up with a bottle of water in my lap, and I look around and there***8217;s just bodies getting carried back,***8221; Eskins said. ***8220;The security guard dropped me off and left to go pull more people out.***8221;
It was then that Eskins said she realized the festival staff were hopelessly out of their depth. She spotted another security guard carrying out a man who appeared to be in dire shape. Eskins asked if anyone had checked his pulse. The security guard looked at her in a panic and said he didn***8217;t know how, according to Eskins.
***8220;I was screaming, ***8216;Do something! People are dying!***8217; They put their hands up, like, What can we do? I said, ***8216;You need to figure out where the nearest medical staff is, and get him there.***8217; He takes off running, and another security guard says, ***8216;Please come help us.***8217;***8221;
Eskins said she followed them to a VIP area, where she said she saw a woman and two men on the ground getting CPR. There weren***8217;t enough medics on hand, and they didn***8217;t appear to have the proper training or equipment, said Eskins, who began performing CPR on one of the victims herself.
***8220;As I***8217;m doing CPR, one of the medics is checking the radial pulse, which is incorrect,***8221; she said. ***8220;These people did not have a lot of experience in code situations or CPR... There was not anywhere near enough medical staff... they only had one stretcher. It was a complete nightmare... Toward the end of the concert, a bunch of cops showed up with more stretchers and carried some more people out of there.***8221;
Eskins described herself as an avid Travis Scott fan, and said she has been to all three Astroworld festivals. What happened on Friday night, she said, ***8220;was absolutely despicable.***8221;
Mari Cella said her daughter Brea, who was pushed over a rail to safety by a stranger, told her mom it ***8220;felt like drowning in quicksand.***8221;
***8220;It was horrible, it was dramatic, it was crazy,***8221; Cella told The Daily Beast, adding that her son and her daughter***8217;s boyfriend were also there. ***8220;Thank God they made it out alive. They saw dead bodies and whatnot.***8221;
Cella, 54, thinks the tragedy was the result of poor planning, and said organizers and local officials missed obvious warning signs earlier in the day.
***8220;They didn***8217;t plan well enough,***8221; said Cella, who lives in the Houston area. ***8220;I blame the city, I think they were not prepared. They should have known. Security was overwhelmed. They had a stampede in the afternoon, they should have known that this could get out of hand. They knew what could***8217;ve happened, and yet I don***8217;t think they were prepared.***8221;
Earlier in the day, at around 2 p.m. local time, hundreds of eager and rowdy concertgoers had stampeded the entrance, knocking over fences and metal detectors, and appearing to overwhelm understaffed security teams guarding the perimeter. No major injuries were reported from the rush.
Albert Merza, a veteran of several music festivals including 2019***8217;s Astroworld Festival, told The Daily Beast that an ***8220;angsty, adolescent***8221; crowd and an inadequate number of exits contributed to the chaos.
***8220;I was seeing very young kids***8212;high schools, middle schoolers. I***8217;d say 40 percent of the people I saw were under 21,***8221; said Merza, who traveled from Detroit to attend the event. ***8220;Maybe they were feeling pent up from the pandemic, I don***8217;t know.***8221;
Merza said the chaos was exacerbated because, unlike in previous festivals he***8217;d attended, there were not many visible exits. He said the metal railings erected in the crowd area caused more people to be pinned.
***8220;Out of nowhere there was a rush of people and it was a free for all,***8221; Merza said.
In a lengthy Instagram post, an attendee named Seanna said people were packed in so tightly that they struggled to breathe as soon as Scott***8217;s performance began.
***8220;Within the first 30 seconds of the first song, people began to drown ***8212; in other people... The rush of people became tighter and tighter. Breathing became something only a few were capable of. The rest were crushed or unable to breathe in the thick hot air.***8221;
She said her friend began to ***8220;gasp for breath***8221; and tried to leave but there was nowhere to go. ***8220;The shoving got harder and harder... People began to choke one another as the mass swayed. It became more and more violent. We began to scream for help.***8221;
She said scores of people around her began screaming as they struggled to breathe, and some people collapsed. ***8220;We begged security to help us, for the performer to see us and know something was wrong. None of that came. We continued to drown... Once one [person] fell, a hole opened in the ground. It was like watching a Jenga Tower topple. Person after person were sucked down.***8221;
She said more people were pushed or sucked into the pile of people and trampled on. Others were shrieking and had ***8220;terror in their eyes.***8221; She managed to get to a filming platform to alert a cameraman that people were dying but he ***8220;told me to get off the platform, and continued filming.***8221;
The second and final day of the event was canceled following the tragedy on Friday, Astroworld Festival said in a statement.
Another attendee, Cody Hartt, wrote on Twitter that he repeatedly tried to alert security about putting a stop to Scott***8217;s headlining set in order to bring proper attention to the people who needed medical assistance, only to have his pleas fall on deaf ears.
***8220;I screamed for help so many times, alerted security, asked everyone in the crowd if there was anyone who was CPR certified. Every call went unanswered. I was told, ***8216;we already know, and we can***8217;t do anything to stop the show, they***8217;re streaming live.***8217; Disgusting,***8221; he wrote.
Friday night***8217;s tragedy was not the first time one of Scott***8217;s concerts turned disastrous. The rapper was arrested in both 2015 and 2017 for disorderly conduct, the former for encouraging fans to jump the barricades at Lollapalooza and the latter for inciting a riot at an Arkansas show.
The latest tragedy is reminiscent of a 1979 Who concert in Cincinnati at which 11 people were suffocated and trampled to death. Singer Roger Daltrey and guitarist Pete Townshend have said they were affected deeply by the loss of life, which they didn***8217;t find out about until after the show was over.
And Clown World II - a report from Cancun where machine gun toting criminals shoot people at a resort.
But - don't worry - no tourists were killed - just drug dealers....
Quote:
A group of gunmen opened fire Thursday afternoon at a luxury seaside resort in Cancun packed with American vacationers, according to Mexican officials and eyewitnesses.
The terrifying incident reportedly began shortly after 3 p.m., when armed men descended on the Hyatt Ziva Riviera Cancun and began shooting.
In a statement, police in Quintana Roo attributed the gunfire to ***8220;armed individuals***8221; who ***8220;took the lives of two men who are presumed to be drug dealers,***8221; and that no tourists were ***8220;seriously injured or kidnapped.***8221;
Vacationers said the shooting sent them scrambling to hide. Randle Roper, whose company, Vacaya, organizes LGBTQ package tours, is staying at the resort with a group of travelers from the U.S. He confirmed to The Daily Beast that there was a shooter on the grounds and that he and the other guests were sheltering in place.
Andrew Krop said his husband, Eric, who is at the resort, called and told him he ***8220;just ran***8221; when he realized what was happening.
***8220;He said he was on the beach and there was someone with a machine gun that started firing,***8221; Krop, from Montana, told The Daily Beast, adding that he***8217;s received an update from Eric that ***8220;the guests had been gathered in the resort lobby and they***8217;re safe.***8221;

Brian Minish Malinconico, a hotel guest on vacation from the U.S., told The Daily Beast in a text message that they heard ***8220;100s***8221; of rounds fired.
***8220;Thought glass broke at a restaurant, then firework sounds, then everyone from the beach [came] running. Got into a room and stayed,***8221; he wrote.
Another witness, D.C. think-tank staffer Vincente Garcia, who was tweeting about the incident as it was happening, told The Daily Beast he was ***8220;very close to the gunshots.***8221;
***8220;They were quick shots which made me think it was like a machine gun,***8221; he wrote in a message.
NBC Universal exec Mike Sington posted video online from the scene as the attack unfolded. He wrote that resort employees were ***8220;not telling us anything.***8221;
In a subsequent video of guests congregating in the lobby, he wrote: ***8220;Active shooter at Hyatt Ziva Riviera Cancun Resort. All guests confined to lobby now. Hotel staff huddled together in corner. Still no announcement or update from hotel, Hyatt, or police. Several guests have now told be they saw gunman come up from the beach, actively shooting.***8221;
He later posted a photo of himself barricaded in his room, door blocked by chairs stacked on top of one another.
Other videos showed shellshocked tourists huddled in the hotel lobby wearing swimsuits, and rattled resort employees hugging each other and crying.
Another vacationer, Jack Aaronson, told The Daily Beast he dove into his room to hide when he ***8220;saw people running and yelling ***8216;active shooter.***8217;***8221;
***8220;My understanding is this was a drug cartel issue and we were just in the wrong place,***8221; he wrote in a text message. ***8220;We all dove into our rooms and sheltered in place as quietly as possible.***8221;
***8220;Some of our guests were on the beach. One said the man with the machine gun looked him right in the eyes and he thought it was over. He was obviously incredibly shaken, and he hid under a beach chair for an hour until the police got him.***8221;
The Daily Beast previously reported on the alarming rise in gang violence around Mexico***8217;s Mayan Riviera, a famed tourist hotspot. According to one report, the area has seen a 783 percent rise in violent crime since 2019.
A Hyatt spokesperson told The Daily Beast in a statement: ***8220;The safety and wellbeing of guests and colleagues is always a top priority***8230; We understand the hotel team immediately engaged local authorities who are on the scene investigating the situation. The hotel team is taking steps in an effort to ensure the safety of guests and colleagues, and further questions may be directed to local authorities.***8221;
Vacaya co-founder Patrick Gunn said in an email that the tour company***8217;s guests had all been accounted for, with ***8220;only a few minor scrapes and bruises along the way, with the exception of one guest, who was injured. That individual is currently doing well at the local hospital and is surrounded by friends.***8221;
A media rep at the U.S. Embassy told Reuters that the local U.S. consulate was working to confirm the reports.
Despite the flood of online posts about the shooting, a receptionist at the resort who spoke to a Reuters reporter by phone denied that anything unusual had occurred and claimed there had not been a shooting.
Might have been one of the fentanyl injections.
They used narcan on a bunch of people including a security guard.
Sounds like people in the crowd were injecting others.
Who knows? What a cluster****.
Judge Jeanine on being Woke
No idea who this woman is but I like her style....

America is waking up. Yeah, we***8217;re the woke ones now. You woke the sleeping giant and poked that bear in the eye. She came out of her cave with a vengeance. "Over 70 air charter flights [on] jetliner airliners coming from the southwest border have landed at Jacksonville International Airport," Larry Keefe, DeSantis***8217;s public safety czar, told The Washington Examiner.
"On average, there's 36 passengers on each of these flights. And that has been going on over the course of the summer through September," he said.
The Examiner reported that officials said the Biden administration has refused to tell the governor***8217;s office about who is facilitating the flights and other information.
"We're in a sad situation of trying to run an investigation. Who is facilitating this travel? How are they getting here? Who are the support people? Who are the sponsors?" Keefe said.
Scott is famous for encouraging fans to ignore security and crowd surf and stage dive in the mosh pit below him. A commercial for this year's Astroworld event, since removed from YouTube, shows fans breaking through barricades and storming the concert grounds at the 2019 event.
In 2015, Chicago officials said Scott encouraged fans at the Lollapalooza music festival to vault security barricades. The rapper was sentenced to one year of court supervision after pleading guilty to reckless conduct charges.
In 2017, Scott was arrested after he encouraged fans to bypass security and rush the stage during a concert in Arkansas, leaving a security guard, a police officer and several others injured. Scott faced several misdemeanor charges, including inciting a riot. He pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and paid a fine.
Ron Howard said studio executives were disrespectful after The Fonz became popular on "Happy Days."
Howard's Richie Cunningham was the lead, but Henry Winkler was "remarkable" as The Fonz, he said.
The two men are still good friends and Winkler is the godfather to Howard's children.
Ron Howard revealed that top studio and network executives involved with "Happy Days" treated him "with a lot of disrespect" after Henry Winkler's Arthur Herbert "The Fonz" Fonzarelli became more popular than his character, Richie Cunningham.
In an exclusive clip from Friday's upcoming episode of "The Graham Norton Show," Howard explained that while Richie was meant to be "the undeniable lead" of "Happy Days," Winkler was "remarkable" as The Fonz from the very first episode.
"We immediately bonded and became great friends. We were a fantastic ensemble, we all got along great," he told Norton of Winkler.
While it was "exciting" for Howard to watch the viewers fall in love with Winkler as Fonzie, he said "the studio heads" and "network heads" started "really treating me with a lot of disrespect from a business standpoint, just in terms of interaction."
"The press kept saying, 'What's it like? Do you feel that you've become a second-class citizen on your own show?'" Howard said. "Which I didn't feel within the workspace. And I certainly didn't feel it within our friendship [with Winkler], which endures to this day."
In fact, not only did the two men enjoy a close bond while working on "Happy Days," Howard told Norton that Winkler is godfather to all four of Howard's children, including actress Bryce Dallas Howard.
Moreover, his experience on the ABC sitcom pushed Howard, now an Academy Award-winning filmmaker, to become more serious about his dream to take charge behind the camera, producing and directing his own films.
Winkler separately told Insider in October that he kept getting passed over for comedy roles after "Happy Days" because people still saw him as The Fonz.
"People would say, 'Wow, he's funny. He's such a good actor. But he was The Fonz,'" Winkler said. "And so they would pass me by. You have to learn to find the strength in yourself to deal with that, reinvent yourself, move on."
he Loudoun County School Board has agreed to a permanent injunction prohibiting it from retaliating against Leesburg Elementary School teacher Tanner Cross, the teacher who got suspended for speaking out against the pro-transgender Policy 8040. The school board settled Cross's lawsuit by agreeing not to take further action against him, but Cross and other teachers are still challenging 8040 in court.
"Just today, the court issued a final order permanently prohibiting the Loudoun County Public School Board from punishing me for freely expressing my views," Cross said at a news conference after the settlement on Monday. "I can now confidently continue teaching at Leesburg Elementary School without fear of punishment for expressing my views."
Policy 8040 requires school staff to refer to students by their preferred pronouns, to open activities to students according to their gender identity, to allow students access to facilities corresponding to gender identity, and to complete training on topics related to LGBTQ+ students.

In the settlement, the school board, Loudoun County Superintendent Scott Ziegler and interim Assistant Superintendent Lucia Villa Sebastian agreed to remove any reference to Cross's suspension in his record, to abide by an injunction preventing them from retaliating against Cross for his speech against 8040 and to pay $20,000 in legal fees. The settlement is not an admission of guilt on the part of the defendants.
The suspension came shortly after Cross spoke out against 8040 during a school board meeting in May.
"I***8217;m a teacher, but I serve God first, and I will not affirm that a biological boy can be a girl and vice versa because it***8217;s against my religion, it***8217;s lying to a child, it***8217;s abuse to a child, and it***8217;s sinning against our God," he said.

"Teachers shouldn***8217;t be forced to promote ideologies that are harmful to their students and that they believe are false, and they certainly shouldn***8217;t be silenced from commenting at public meetings," Tyson Langhofer, senior counsel at Alliance Defending Freedom, the law firm representing Cross, said in a statement on the settlement.
Courts had previously granted Cross temporary injunctions forcing Loudoun County Public Schools to reinstate him. In August, the court allowed ADF to amend its initial complaint to add new claims against 8040 and to include Loudoun County High School history teacher Monica Gill and Smart's Mill Middle School English teacher Kim Wright alongside Cross. That portion of the lawsuit against the board will continue.
"Freedom of speech and religion includes the freedom not to speak messages contrary to our core beliefs, and public schools shouldn***8217;t require teachers to personally endorse a belief with which they disagree, but that***8217;s exactly what policy 8040 does," Gill told Fox News on Monday. "It forces teachers to say things that are untrue and harmful to students."

"Words carry meaning," Gill had said at the news conference. "If teachers are forced to use a pronoun for a student that is not in alignment with their biological sex, they are conveying to that student the gender is fluid, and that is not true. That goes against biology, science, and reality."

She also faulted 8040 for letting "teachers keep parents in the dark."
A spokesman for LCPS told Fox News that the office does not comment on pending litigation. Members of the school board did not respond to Fox News' request for comment.
State and county prosecutors have said the evidence against Jones is overwhelming. Trial transcripts show witnesses identified Jones as the shooter and placed him with Howell’s stolen vehicle. Investigators also found the murder weapon wrapped in a bandana with Jones’ DNA in an attic space above his bedroom. Jones claims the murder weapon was placed there by the actual killer, who visited Jones’ house after Howell was shot.

Howell’s sister, Megan Tobey, testified before the board that she distinctly remembers seeing Jones shoot her brother in front of his two young daughters.
“He is the same person today as he was 22 years ago. He’s still getting into trouble. He’s still in a gang. He’s still lying. And he still feels no shame, guilt or remorse for his action,” she said. “We need Julius Jones to be held responsible.”
They just commuted his sentence to life without parole while he was on the way to the injection.
Why?
Quote:
“Thousands of people across Oklahoma, the country, and the world have called on the Governor to prevent Oklahoma from executing an innocent man,” Jones’ attorney, Amanda Bass, said in a statement earlier Thursday, adding: “Our hope is that the Governor will ensure that this execution does not go forward given the many concerns about the execution process and Mr. Jones’s case.”

Jones’ mother, Madeline-Davis-Jones, spoke to a group of about 300 people who gathered Wednesday at the Capitol outside Stitt’s office, chanting and singing hymns.
“I don’t want to go to a lynching,” she said, her voice rising with emotion. “... Why would I want to see someone hang? We should be through with that. Do you want your baby, your child to be hanged?”
Jones maintains he was framed by the actual killer, a high school friend and co-defendant who testified against him and was released from prison after 15 years.

Man arrested for NE Portland shooting released from jail same day
Quote:
PORTLAND, Ore. (KPTV) - A Portland man who has a criminal history dating back to 2006 was booked for gun charges related to a shooting that happened Wednesday evening. He was then released the same day.
Just before 8 p.m., police said officers witnessed 35-year-old Jessie Hall approach a parked vehicle, pull out a gun and fire a shot at a person who was running away. Hall got into the vehicle and later crashed it at North Farragut Street and North Curtis Avenue. He got out and ran off on foot.
Officers later found Hall in a nearby house and arrested him. A .380 Ruger semiautomatic pistol was recovered as evidence.
Hall was booked into the Multnomah County Jail for felon in possession of a firearm and unlawful use of a weapon. He could also later be charged with firing a gun within city limits. FOX 12 learned that Hall has a criminal history including drugs, identity theft and tampering with a witness.
According to the jail's website, Hall has already been released. His defense asked that he be given pre-trial release and the district attorney's office did not object under the condition that he not have weapons, firearms or ammunition.
Nick Smith lives near where Hall was arrested Wednesday. FOX 12 asked him what he thought about Hall's quick release from jail.
"He was out the same day? Wow. You would think they'd have to have - especially being shots fired, stolen car, him running from police and all this things, that you wouldn't have that," Smith said. "If he's willing to shoot a gun, steal a car, most likely it's going to happen again."
FOX 12 checked with the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office and there is no issue in the jail with overcrowding right now. FOX 12 also reached out to the district attorney's office, but have not heard back yet.
They just commuted his sentence to life without parole while he was on the way to the injection.

The new normal in America is essentially going to boil down to blacks getting off scott free if they attack whites. Whites get arrested for anything you can imagine. Prison abuse for white prisoners will also skyrocket in the future.
