Shazzrah

Kay, i'm completely boggled.

We've done shazzrah a good 5 or 6 times before, but we've suddenly hit a wall the last two weeks.

Last week we got him to 8% and got an add which owned us -_-

This week we get him to 80% and it just goes beserk :-/

What tactics do you guys use, we've cleared all bosses bar shazzrah (rag and domo obviously), but we're stuck -_-

spread out, dont attack once he teleports, make sure the person he's targetting runs toward MT, decurse ffs, it's an easy fight when people remember to do the above.

We try to follow that as best we can, but we seem to lose people (normally can try OOC ressing til he gets put into combat). We've spread out, we've tried tanking him against a wall which apparently is meant to stop the teleporting being so bad, as he teleports into the MT alot, but he only teleported to the tank once. :-/

1. I hope to god you're pulling him into Garr's room.
2. Spread out, move into a big circle if you can, pull him out to the MT and make the MT move into the middle, let him establish a little aggro
3. If you don't have it, get CT_Raidassist and get the Main Tank (MT) window up, it will show the main tanks target, and the MT target's target (who shaz is targetting). If not everyone has CT raid, have someone call or type it out so that person can get away from his friends (1 death vs many).
4. Keep detect magic on him and always dispell him and the tank
5. If he blinks out have a warrior either taunt and drag him back in, or have his target run back at the MT so he can get him back under control
6. Rogues are mini-hunters during the encounter, they need to be ranged on him only, and the MT has to do his best to keep shazz in the center away from people. People also have to do their best to stay away from shaz if they aren't being targeted by him if they are and they can they need to drop aggro (vanish/feign/ice block) or drag him back to the MT.

It's almost exactly like the Baron fight except he blinks to people and you need to dispell/decurse.

you dont need to pull shazz or geddon to garr's room at all.

you clear the first couple of packs, kill geddon, kill all the mobs around shazz and a few packs up the ramp to make sure you get no adds.

you should have all of your groups spread out in a circle around shazzrah while a MT tanks in middle and everyone who can needs to do ranged dmg.

when shazz teleports, that area disperses as soon as possible and the person with aggro, who should be called over chat and/or vent/ts using the target's target macro on shazz, will run to the center while MT gets aggro. That's all you need for positioning, the rest is just dispelling/decursing and doing ranged dmg.

We keep tanks between groups to taunt once he blinks to that side, and hunters on the opposite side try to pull him back across for good measure.

We almost wiped on Shazz last night. It was a sad day.
Last 20% or so we were hobbling on like 3 mages, a couple rogues bow plinking, and one hunter.
On the plus side, we got our first ever Spinal Reaper last night. =D

we do geddon, garr, shazzrah and 4-5 lava packs in garr's room
Lava packs in Garr's room?

We do them where they stand, how does it work pulling them?

And the other night we had the most amazing Shazzrah kill evar :p Our tank went down somehow at like 20%, and vent did at the same time. We ended up just DPSing him down, and in the end it was Shaz vs. 1 mage who got off a frostbolt to bring him down :)

Why would you even pull them?

Also warlocks should have felhunters out to dispell him whenever they can. If he blinks, the person who has agro (ct raid's target target feature) runs towards the main tank who is in the middle of the circle of groups. Once he has agro, they run back.

We do all that generally, it just seems that when shazzrah blinks, too many people get raped :-/

tell your ppl to stop attacking until the MT gets aggro back

we have hunters pull with pets. dunno we just find it easier that way. less chance for someone aggroing another pack i guess. more room to work with.

We do packs in the hallway. Our locks tend to kite the rock elementals back towards garrs room while they banish.

Only issues we have on shazz is when someone misses on the decursing. As long as everyone listens, we make it through ok. Shazz actually is one of the tougher fights for us right now, just because it takes one person to screw you on that fight and we're still aquainting a few people with our methods to MC.

edit: We also fight shaz in garr's room. We've tried using hunters to pull him back to the middle, but distracting shot doesn't work on him as well as domo. We basically just require everyone to run to the middle if he blinks near them.

easiest MC boss fight ever
Your guild must really suck at Lucifron/Golemagg/Sulfuron (easiest encounters).

All of the aforementioned encounters can be controlled, whereas Shazzrah can't. You can only hope to limit the damage he does. Not to mention he completely eliminates 2 DPS classes from ... doing DPS.

Don't get me wrong, we haven't had any problems with him in months, but he's certainly not the easiest fight in MC.

We do 2 lava pack in garr's room, pull gheddon, 1 laval pack, pull shazzrah, then we go on through the tunnel. We dont kill the 2 packs closest to shaz's area and the wandering core hound.

To each his own i guess. Its not like it makes a huge difference anyway.
