Here's my build with todays prices on Amazon.
(add 209.80 for memory, $2,350.24)
The 12900kf is 549.97, 290.97 more than the i5 12600kf I used in mine. But probably not worth the extra over a 12700kf at 377.98, 177.99 more than the i5 at 259.99. If I hadn't gotten my 12600kf for 229 I would have gone with the i7.
add 290.97 to the build cost for an i9 12900kf
177.99 for an i7 12700kf
TLDR:
Nicer **** and cheaperclose to same price.
$2,528.23 with i7 12600kf
$2,641.21 before tax with an i9 12900kf and 3080ti
edit: ****, forgot Amazon.com: Kingston Technology Fury Beast Black 32GB 5600MT/s DDR5 CL40 XMP 3.0 Ready Computer Memory Single Module KF556C40BB-32 : Electronics
$209.80 today, added that to the totals above.
I got all my stuff for 2310.40, GPU prices continue to fall, no reason to settle for a 3060.
Subtract $570 if you really want a 3060.
Amazon.com: EVGA GeForce RTX 3060 XC Gaming, 12G-P5-3657-KR, 12GB GDDR6, Dual-Fan, Metal Backplate : Electronics

Nice build Plasmatic. Similar to what I'm doing, except mine is an Intel I-9 12900K and an Asus TUF 3090 Ti. I have most of the parts, waiting on a few items. I used Newegg and Amazon to get everything. Here's a few videos on building a system in that case.
Fractal Design Torrent (white) build and installation guide - YouTube
Fractal Design Torrent PC Build Guide - Step by Step - YouTube
$5000 Ultimate Air Cooled PC Build. We Overclocked and it worked!! (12900K / ASUS RTX 3090Ti) - YouTube
This is the main guide I was following, bought the same parts, then I found the other videos. It seems the big challenge is the cable management on the back side of the case. The other thing to do is install the cables on the MB before installing into the case. Here's a pic of the parts.
Going back to the 1st post, this is the monitor I'm probably getting.

Keyboard
Amazon.com: Logitech G PRO Mechanical Gaming Keyboard, Ultra Portable Tenkeyless Design, Detachable Micro USB Cable, 16.8 Million Color LIGHTSYNC RGB Backlit Keys : Video Games
Mouse
Amazon.com: Logitech G502 HERO High Performance Wired Gaming Mouse, HERO 25K Sensor, 25,600 DPI, RGB, Adjustable Weights, 11 Programmable Buttons, On-Board Memory, PC / Mac : Everything Else
Headset
Amazon.com: Logitech G432 Wired Gaming Headset, 7.1 Surround Sound, DTS Headphone:X 2.0, Flip-to-Mute Mic, PC (Leatherette) Black/Blue : Video Games

Robert, if you're going tenkeyless, try the DROP TKL. It's so much nicer than the Logi. I found I missed the numberpad.

Thanks, I'll check it out. Maybe I'll get a keyboard with the numpad after all. It seems like everyone in the videos has the TenKeyLess. They have a desk with absolutely nothing on it but a monitor, keyboard, and mouse. Here's a Ultrawide video with the top 5. I may go with the LG which has no ghosting. Price has come down. The Asus and LG are both good.
