[d2] sorceress vs druid

Is there ever any reason to go with the druid over the sorceress? I'm play through again as a lightning sorceress, and I've never played a druid, but I hear they can be specced as a caster. Anyone ever do it, or does it just end up being a gimped sorceress?

i think its fun because its a challenge. going cookie cutter skills all the time gets boring after awhile
 
Druids are probably the weakest class in D2, but can at times be the most fun to play. I'd go with sorc if you want to be more powerful.
 
Yea, I never really played LoD, but after trying an assassin I decided to just go back to something I was used to. And ranged classes are so much easier to deal with than melee dudes.
 
Barbs are silly overpowered until hell mode, then immune to physical ruins your life.

Go Bowazon or Frozen Orb sorceress.
 
druid can be a caster/summoner

bear + volcano fucking runs pvm but worthless for pvp

volcano is half physical/half fire dmg
 
druid is a bastardization of a class and there is no reason to play it besides the novelty of a 'new' character
 
There are too many sorcs on diablo 2. I was kind of disappointed that they weren't nerfed.
