+rep All in the Family was an awesome show.
It addressed some touchy social issues and was hilarious.

Carroll O'Connor was a master at subtlety, Half a century after the Archie Bunker character debuted, people are still talking about it.

My problem with Seinfeld is him.
Ever since meeting Kevin Costner*, I've watched sites like AmIAnnoying.com
and whatnot to see what celebrities are like irl. In person, Jerry Seinfeld is a dick. Not Tiger Woods level, but he's close. Cabbies, hotel concierges, and waitresses concur: he's a dick.
* He's a dick, but so is my brother. Mike and Kevin became friends at one of his casinos in Deadwood, circa 1990. Kevin comes out to Dad's ranch every year so he and Mike can drink beer and fish and do their guy things, but I avoid him. Fun anecdote: We're in a local breakfast place, close to where Dad has his ranch. We're all eating, and some 14-year old tourist girl notices him and comes over and very politely asks him if he would sign her book. Kevin is like "Could I just **** eat in peace and quiet!?" The girl went back to her table and I've not spoken a word to him since. He still comes every year.

Kevin Costner was a dick to a kid.
He's friends with my brother and my Dad, comes here every year, and my hope is I get to watch him die in a chemical fire. Bobby Knight, also.

You can see this just watching comedians in cars getting coffee.
He just has an attitude of "I'm one of the most successful comedians ever and I have $950 million to prove it. Who are you to tell me I'm wrong about comedy, business or anything else? "
Generally he seems like an alright guy, but he isn't going to hesitate to tell you to screw off if you are annoying him in any way.
