Rainforests are no longer the carbon sinks they used to be, and with millions of acres cut down every year on top of the millions of acres lost to forest fires, we are decades past the point of no return. If we converted everything to "clean energy" tomorrow, it would take millennia to suck all the CO² we've already put into the atmosphere over the last hundred years.

people act like trees are being cut down, never to be replaced, mean while individuals and entire nations are planting trees by the millions regularly. The sky isn't falling chicken little. No matter what the guy selling you carbon credits tells you.

Agreed. Like I said before, there is literally not a single person on this board that doesn't think climate changes or that greenhouse gasses have some impact on climate. The magnitude by which they are influencing climate change, whether the outcomes are purely negative, and host of other issues are still being debated though.
