Those are options for sure, but I would implore u to try with the proper seat height again. Just practice stepping off your pedal to the ground. You spend the vast majority of your time on a bike sitting and pedaling, and a tiny fraction of time stopped. You really do get used to it quick. You said you tried it for an incredibly short amount of time and decided it's not for you, but its physics and biology why having a full pedal stroke is a much better experience and is better on your body
