New Superman will be bisexual

I actually find this offensive. Didn’t care about the gay son. Fuck the panderers DC comics.

the irony is that that 1 is much less pandery n much more 'this is how we rly feel'

superman is no longer meaningfully an immigrant nor are the readers/writers connected to the immigrant xperience. 'the american way' from the cozy inside perspective is just avarice, and newspaper reporting is hardly viewed today as honest work. also superman is a member of an international intergalactic community of walking nukes and based on the past 10 or so wars conducted by the usa, the american way means 1. losing 2. at great length 3. while killing many innocents.

popularity of superman vs. batman (the concepts not the movie) is like cults of apollo vs. dionysus for american pop culture. superman is the avatar of a powerful, united society pushing further into the seemingly impossible. batman is the avatar of a withering, dissolute world where the only passing comfort is bitter vengeance.

batman is generically a superhero but he doesn't really do anything differently from an average cop. that's why his "no crooks can die" code is so pivotal to the modern perception of the character. and everyone reading/watching can see that even in fantasyland this is a retarded rule that plainly makes the world worse off. and that's the #1 popular superhero of 2021. a self-congratulatory emo who lives in a terrible world which is worse because of his principles. that tells u way more than any publicity stunt by dc comix.

The comic writers are like, "Let us write good stories... as good as we CAN write, anyway."

And DC is like, "No. Politics."

I'm guessing he'll be a super power bottom.

If only they had seen the signs sooner.

Watch out, Robin!
