Most of them will even pre-cut openings for you.

There are a lot of really nice examples of container homes out there. But like anything else, cool has a price tag
Why not just get a double-wide and save money then? They're better built that these pieces of ****.

Because they have a stigma, and don't hold value as well.

Well, I mean, who ****ing thinks their home looks good when it looks like chinks have been using it to send plastic trash to the US for 30 years in it?

I guess the containers, if enough money is spent, can have a certain "modern" feel, but I think for that money, you can build a beautiful regular home.

You can build them very well and better than most "only to code" stick homes, for not a whole lot. If it's all you need.

Also no property taxes under 399 SF in most places in the US, if I'm not mistaken.

Does a property tax apply to tiny houses?
The property tax for regular houses does not apply to tiny houses. However, if you will live in a state that collects personal property taxes for motor vehicles, then you still might have to pay it. Tiny houses towed by a car is considered a recreational vehicle (RV) in many states, so the same taxation rules might apply to them as well.
+ < 399 SF and likely on a trailer frame/wheels.
