Bought another plow. Boss V plow with all the goodies and mounts to fit my truck for $1600. These usually go for 4 to 5k used around here, but saw this in the marketplace and pounced on it. Had to drive about 2 hours south yesterday, and the roads were less than ideal. The interstate was mostly ok, but the last 45 minutes was all snow pack.
Today I got home from work around 4am, took mom to the dentist at 9, looked at a car hauler, got home again around 1230, grabbed the big Dodge and picked up trailer, went to dmv for parents handicap permit and registered trailer, parked it and went to shop to get plow off the other truck. Then I went to work...
Took that hoist apart today and straightened the safety leg. Twisted the top pulling the plow off and the leg suffered. Was binding when dropping the hoist.
Picked up a trailer in between the mayhem Wednesday. Parked it in the snow and buried the truck up to the axles before I unloaded the plow. Disconnected it yesterday and dug out a path in front of the truck, pulled it out, then moved a clothes drier for my helper dude. Today used a chain to pull it out of the deep snow pack. Needs lights and paint, but I feel pretty good about the price I paid.
Yeah, in the spring when I start rocking and rolling again I'll get lights on it asap. Then paint and maybe a winch with a battery/ storage box. May run wood between the sides so I can use it for more than cars too.
