Because I'm stupid and have no idea about cooking, every time I want to make a new dish, I throw *dish* and then Marco Pierrie White, Gordon Ramsey into the Google machine and see what comes up.

What those guys say, is that cooking with extra virgin olive is a misstep, as it burns too fast. So like, if you're doing say, mushrooms on toast, is you sauté the mushrooms in olive oil, and then dress it with extra virgin.

except you don't need to sautee mushrooms (or actually anything) on high heat

if you don't know anything about cooking the best thing to do is cook things on low heat

oh btw bros... nice easy mushroom recipe

buy mushrooms

chop into small pieces, like 1/4" or whatever

throw butter into a saucepan on low-med heat

throw in shroomz

salt

black pepper

sauté (see I can use fancy words)

then add cream or half-half and continue cooking down into delicious creamy shroomy goodness to a consistency you like

Delish.

I'm pretty sure that anything that is sautéed, it must be on high heat. I don't know much but I do know that.

(for those that are wondering, and those that don't care, I post here because of an encouragement from a friend)

I stopped eating meat 20 years ago.

For scrambled eggs, as an example, you want high heat. I like that this community wants to have a fight over oil--I will confess I've missed it. Now then:

You are asking him to serve it to you in bed. If your lover is up to it, that's the way to do it. If you are just throwing hash in Northern Wyoming, then put the heat on whatever and best of luck using extra virgin.
