cheaper than the 1800? fine. the 1800 isn't the competitive part for the 7700.
Was planning using a 1800x for my next build, but after seeing gaming benchmarks, I probably won't.
That doesn't make any sense at all. Even if it isn't "as fast as a 7700k for gaming" it is still faster than you'd need for 4k 144hz G-synch. In fact, i doubt there is any NOTICEABLE difference in gaming experience between them.

Because you aren't a content producer and you do most of your actual "computing" on your phone.

I'm in the market for a new computer, but since I'm going with 1440p@60 gaming -- I don't really care so much about the cpu. But I do care about platform features, and these AMD motherboards look kinda blah.
