btw, I'd go with a Focus ST over a Fiesta alll day. It's a functional rocket.

Dunno if it's made it to the US or if they're scarred they won't be able to convince the Tim Taylors out there, but the turbo 1.0L triple in the newer Fiesta is an astonishing engine... ~120hp from something that weighs in at around 220lbs even with a cast iron block.. As far as performance by displacement goes, it's the best engine Ford has ever made, and is on par with the output from a Veyron (you'd just need to group 8 of them together... Hrmm...)
If Ford ever decided to make those available as crate engines or licensed them out, dear god there could be some amazing little lightweight sports cars built around them.
