never prison. been in county and city jail a couple times. longest stretch in county was 90 days.
City jail isn't really a jail. I mean it is, has bars and all that, but generally IF you are ever put in a city jail, its just a holding area until your ride to county gets there.
Jail and prison are different. In most places, you can only do so long in county jail. When i was in ohio, you couldn't do more than a year and 1 day. In prison, well , you can die in there. Because of that, and the crimes involved, prison tends to be a bit more serious. County is usually dumbasses that did dumb things, prison is dumbasses that did dumb things but on a more serious level.
I haven't been to either in probably 20+ years or more. Never did anything 'bad'...always traffic stuff
