Finished The Sting, pretty good.
Not sure where to go next, probably something kid friendly.

I'm glad you liked it. There were so many memorable scenes in it, but I think the best was when Paul Newman was playing poker on the train with Robert Shaw, and they were both cheating like crazy, they both knew that they were cheating, and Robert Shaw was so mad about it.
Next up, do Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. It's another swindler film, but a lot more campy than The Sting. The headliners are Michael Caine and Steve Martin, but Glenne Headly (rip) stole it. Great fun, and I hope you like it.

There are also a few movies by Wes Anderson that i'd highly recommend watching.
and
And some more feel good stuff:
^ this one was amazing.
and last but not least:
All this stuff is very girlfriend-friendly.

that movie's a classic - just rewatched it a few months ago and still felt like it held up perfectly.

One of the best films ever made. I'm biased a bit because 90% of the music I listen to is classical.
I'm responding because when Amadeus came out, I saw it in The Netherlands. . .
What I did not know, was that many of the extras (musicians) were Dutch, so when it was over and the credits started up, I just started to do the American thing and walk out.
I kind of figured out I wasn't supposed to leave, as the lights stayed down, screen stayed on and me being a rather dumb man figured out that people were watching Dutch musicians that they knew. So I sat my native ass back down, and watched, while the Dutch crowd clapped when the name of a Dutch cellist or whatever came up. Kind of cool that they were looking.

A.) My comment was a double entendre/bad joke but okay
B.) I've seen the movie fifty times
C.)If you were in the Netherlands, you were not a native

I'm a Native American, but lived in the Netherlands. I'm unsure where your attempted correction is from, but this is TW, and my care level for your opinion is quite low.

Goonies is great, but that might wait a couple of years.
I recall there being a bit of swearing/sexual stuff in it.
Actually I was surprised at some of the stuff in E.T. I think penis breath was used as an insult at one stage, along with one kid pretending to poke Elliot's mum up the ass when she bends over.
But at least they edit out the nasty guns
