Doubtful, I think Apple would rather sell you an accessory for radio.

I am getting this vibe too. I daresay the Zune is what he is wanting, its not really a debate i think.

If you want Apps, go iPod. If you want a media player, go Zune.
I own the Zune HD and listen to an HD radio station all the time, Commercial free music.

get the touch. zune will never have apps on par with the touch. the OLED sceen is sexy but does it really matter that much unless you're going to be staring at it the whole time you're listening to music.

iPhone 4 is rumored to record 720p video (easy to do on a 5mp camera).

The iTouch is a waste of money, I think the iFone is a better buy.

I bought a zuneHD when it came out. I loved it, but it had a problem that was a dealbreaker for me at the time(no enterprise support for internet, i believe this has been fixed). I traded it in and got a touch.
There isn't much I can say about the touch you don't already know. Its solid, apps are nice. some things about it annoy the hell out of me, like having to use itunes and the inability to sort by album artist on the touch itself. still, i use it 95% of the time for internet and music. I'd rather have a zune HD for that. the form factor is better, the screen is better, the interface is miles ahead of the touch, its easier to make play lists on the go, i like zune software much better than itunes, and if you're gonna actually pay for your music then zunepass might be a dealbreaker.
eventually i'm gonna upgrade to a smartphone and when I do I'll probably get rid of my touch and get another zune.

Just reading your list Zune > iPod, not sure why you are even debating.

Steve Jobs will hunt down and kill you if you don't buy an ipod.

I got a zune HD on launch day and I've been nothing but pleased. Again, go check the app store and see if you think you'll miss having the app selection of the iPod. Right now that's the only strength of the iPod touch over the zune HD.
Some notes:
- I've used the HD radio feature a couple times at work and it's okay but if you have weak reception it's unlistenable since it will cut in and out often.
- Watching video works great (and looks amazing on the screen) but there isn't much choice for organization on the zune itself. If you tag your videos appropriately it's not much of an issue but I find myself wishing for more options here.
- The internet browser works fine and renders just about everything I've thrown at it but it's not really stunning in terms of perfomance.

Mp3 players are part of the phone, don't know why you would want a separate device, unless you have a ton of data you want on an 80 gig iPod.
No, iPhone will not have an FM tuner, but you can stream Soma FM, and Pandora.

Sounds like you've already decided (Zune).
Especially with the battery issues that every single ****ing iPod seems to have (other than a first gen mini I had), Zune is probably the way to go. I've had mine for about 2 years and the battery/everything else is still going strong.
Only thing that sucks about it is the music management application.

haha, you clearly want a zune
the ipod touch is clearly a more usable device and you're underselling the app store, but if you're looking for reasons to buy a zune just ****ing buy one
