But interestingly, for gun owners, how guns came to be used by murderers proves even more interesting. In 2018, 14,123 murders occurred, 10,265 which used a firearm. Of those 10,265 murders, 6,603 reportedly took place with a handgun. Meanwhile, only 297 murders utilized a rifle. A shotgun was used 235 times to commit a murder.

The FBI publishes this data, so it's not some made up numbers. Note that the 297 number is for ALL rifles, not just AR-15s.

So no, it won't make any significant difference, and yes, it's banning scary guns.

As far as fighting against our own military - we'd have to fight though all of the alphabet organizations first. If we were at the point of fighting against our own military, I got news for you, those folks are generally like minded as the patriots. You're more likely to see a military coup in that scenario.
