sadly dictionary.com is wrong.
The wonderful thing about language that a self-described internet genius will never realize is that it evolves.
It's the same reason we say "alright" instead of "all right"
And the same reason 9/10 people say "point dexter" instead of "poindexter", as Google has so graciously provided.
I'll wait while you go dictionary.com the definition of "all right" to "own" me while I sit here balling
did I mention I **** models

I go with what is in the dictionary as opposed to archaic forms of the words. You, a linguist, must know that languages are evolving, much like everything else, and those archaic forms are left in the figurative dust.

poindexter is the archaic form broseph, it comes from the 1960's
2010's form is point dexter.
get with the times, nerd. and get ****ed while you're at it.

Pointdexter is incorrect. You can type long winded responses calling everyone nerds all you want.
It's wrong.

Why do you keep avoiding your Facebook group Adam Mitter?
But yeah... You're wrong. There is absolutely no point arguing it.

I'm sorry but according to Google 90% of people say "point dexter"
so while you nerds may hold on to some archaic form like a life preserver in a sea of virgins, the rest of the world has moved on
and you should too. it might help you finally get laid for once.

you dumb, delusional nerd. half the people on the internet say "should of" instead of "should have". you gonna tell me they're correct?
go back to painting star wars figurines, linguistics isn't one of your strengths.

Dictionaries are so far behind actual language use that they barely have any relevance in the discussion.
That's when you have to ask.. are 90% of people "wrong" ZOMG DICTIONARY or are the other 10% just a bunch of angsty nerd virgins who can't let go of what little knowledge they claim to have left?
The answer is obvious.
