It's called donating for a reason. If it was forced payment to read this forum, that'd be different.
Just outta curiosity, do any of you people donate to the people that make programs freeware but ask for donations to help support their development and hosting costs? Think about all the programs that you downloaded for free but you could have given a donation...did you?
How about donating to other charities? Red cross, cancer, salvation army, autism charities...any charity for that matter? I'm just curious.
I like this site, I enjoy reading the useless drivel of many, and the useful information from others, and getting help on things when I need it. But the site is free to use, and if I want extras, or if I want to be nice, I can donate to support the costs. Being told to donate, otherwise I"m a cheapass, is not going to make me want to donate any more than I did before this post. It doesn't make me any less of a person if I chose to donate to other causes. I've donated my time, money, and items I no longer wanted or needed to plenty of causes both near my heart and just because they were there. If that makes me a cheapass because it wasn't to tribalwar, than so be it.
