There are 8-9 million WoW subscribers. Many others have played before or know people who play. This is a very significant population.

Total hollywood box office sales: $11 billion
Total Blizzard annual subscriptions: $1.5 billion (not counting other revenues)

Most importantly, this isnt about "wow jokes" as much as making the idea of this type of game being kinda funny, macho and different than folks imagine. This video's humor has nothing really to do with nerdy RPG stuff traditionally associated with these types of games.

So, it's very smart and funny to use 4v4 trucks with their marketing.
