BADGE GEAR

I have a question for you guys. I have a Warlock with full Vindicator's / Season 1 Gear and a couple pieces of S3. I have about 950 spell damage in Affliction and a little over 1000 spell damage in SL/SL spec. Also have 470 resilience. What's a good dungeon to raid to get used to doing HIGH end shit? I've thought about Kara but all the gear is mediocre looking in comparison to arena gear. (I guess i'm a stam/resilience whore)

I was never big into raiding but sometimes I think it'd be fun to do something epic.

To do high end raiding yo need to ditch the resilience gear and up your spell damage and +hit. For boss fights you need over 1000 +damage while also have 201 spell hit. For trash you need the +dmg but not nearly as much +hit. You should do Kara, if you have never done high end raiding if only to get used to scripted encounters. IF you have the badges for the new badge gear you can buy that and basically skip kara and SSC.

As a PVE lock you really don't need that make resilience for a majority of fights since ideally you won't be taking too much damage. There are a few fights where you could swap in your PVP gear for a little extra survivability though. Also 95% of the high end pve locks are destro, and the other 5 are affliction for raid utility.

I had done all the quests involving the Shat'ar and "capped" at 5999/6000 Friendly. One kill from anything in Tempest Keep put you into Honored. So unless there's some way to grind Shat'ar rep without anything to step into a dungeon (which as I'm seeing it's not possible) one without a guild usually has to rely on keeping an ear out for dungeon pugs and cross your fingers it turns out well. And when you're a rogue, it's a bit more difficult unless you left a good enough impression on people to justify them wanting to take you along versus some other random rogue.

But yeah, if I want my Assassin's stone I'll have to manage to grind Sha'tar running Tempest Keep for the next 11,000 something rep points.

I want those as well. The legs are my first target.
With epic gems though the currently available legs are better (with living rubies, the new ones barely beat them out), I'm grabbing the ilvl128 legs after getting Dory's Embrace this weekend then the new ilvl141 dps ring and then I'll be pretty much set on what I can get without raiding t5 and beyond.
