So - wow. The 30 seconds of Clint in The Revenge of the Creature was fascinating. To see Clint play an incidental part. Furthermore, his character was like a klutzy lab assistant who has a goofy personality.

It felt really odd to see him play such a beta part. I am going to figure out what he did in the six years between his first few teenage goofus bit parts and the Westerns. I want to know how he got hooked up with Sergio Leone. Who saw something in him that wasn't apparent in his early parts? Did he take off to Europe to do a little traveling and stumble into his life calling? My curiosity is piqued. Wait - TW - My curios are peaked.

Leone's professional relationship with Clint Eastwood came to be after the director spotted the up-and-coming actor in the television series Rawhide. After being offered the lead role in A Fistful of Dollars, his first in film, Eastwood took the low-paying gig out of interest in visiting Europe. Through production, a hazardous process which included a fairly large language barrier, they concluded their unofficial remake of Akira Kurosawa's samurai thriller Yojimbo, and Eastwood returned to Rawhide totally ignorant to the monstrous success Fistful had become overseas. Overnight, Eastwood had turned into an international star, and "Spaghetti Western" had become a household term. Following A Fistful of Dollars, Eastwood and Leone would go on to collaborate on two additional films together, each using the experience to evolve as filmmakers.

I haven't seen that one. Probably for good reason.
****. It looks like he might have played a cowboy in that movie. A "modern cowboy". Maybe I'll leave that one on my "haven't seen" list.

No, more like a wild west show kind of thing. The movie tanked....because he smiled in it....and it sucked.

Yeah. Nice Clint is pretty beta from what I have seen from his early parts. He absolutely nails the Lone Drifter type role. I am going to move on to the Dirty Harry years pretty soon here. His character is similar to the Lone Drifter or Bounty Hunter roles. Those are my favorites. Then, there is stuff like "Every Which Way But Loose" which - I don't think I have watched all the way through either. That's just kind of odd.

Holy crap - I had forgotten the cast of Hang 'Em High. It's a weird movie because it is cut and written like a made for TV movie.

But, check this out:
Clint
Bruce Dern
Dennis Hopper
And... The Skipper Alan Hale Jr.
Ed Begley (12 angry men)
Charles McGRaw (Spartacus, The Birds)
James Westerfield (On The Waterfront, True Grit)
Ben Johnson (Last Picture Show, Wild Bunch)

More. Crazy cast.
Like I said, it plays like a TV show. Director Ted Post was not exactly an inspired director All business. Most of his work was in TV. Although, he did Magnum Force so it will be fun to watch the style of the Dirty Harry directors. This movie also has a little foreshadowing to the Cop Clint and his relationship with the chief of police. His relationship with the Judge is about the same. The writer Leonard Freeman is famous for the TV show Hawaii Five 0.

I really enjoy looking at the backdrops in some scenes that were blatantly obvious painted tapestries. That **** might fool TV audiences, but it's ridiculous with film and these were really badly done. You can see that type of stuff on a lot of classic movies, but was much better done than this.

This weekend, I am going to watch The Eiger Sanction. That's a fun one. Also, I lived around that area in Switzerland and even know a guy in the film as a bit part. My pal is a Swiss mountain guide and was a consultant on the film. I saw this in the theaters when it was released. I was 12 lol

A **** and 3 dead within the first 15 minutes. When I re-watched it I cracked up too and was like - wow.

The justification for the ****? She wanted it.
I mean, she did too but try to get away with that.
Imagine that scene if he had to get a consent waiver.

I remember watching it on TV and thinking it was decent when I was a kid but it's existence has since vanished.
