I'm getting my windows tinted. The sides and back are all in legal spec. She said they do a windshield treatment that is illegal, but isn't really detectable. She had it on her car and showed me and it did not look anymore shaded but had a bit of a blue tint, but you might not even notice it. Keeps UVA/UVB out. I've seen videos of police checking window tints to make sure it's legal and those devices, think like C clamp, with a window in between, can't be used on a windshield.
I'm scheduled to get it. I would not normally do this, but I don't want those UV rays. Even if it's not legal I might ride the tiger. Has anyone else done this? I can't remember the name of the product. The place got high reviews so I'd assume it would not be an issue, otherwise it would come up. Good BBB rating too.
Also, I wonder if this is a good business. It was a husband and wife team. They only buy a few different materials and people were coming in or calling frequently while I was there. I think the big draw in the south is that it blocks IR which causes a lot of heat. Cars get hot every summer in the south, and it's worse for the people who buy leather seats in the south, for whatever foolish reason.
