Yeah, Portland is a very clean city and the scenery is great. I'm not a big fan of hippies and hipsters so the south side of the river got a bit weird but all in all everybody was friendly.
I took this picture of a rose, I thought it was the most perfect rose I had ever seen in my life
I would stop by the rose garden if you are ever in portland. I went running real early in the morning and stopped there and some old guy I saw running in the hills said "sometimes you just have to stop and smell the roses" then took off running.

Depends on what you're into and what kind of time you have. Powell's City of Books and the Saturday Market are both noteworthy. Shanghai Tunnels, OMSI, Multnomah Falls, McMennamins locations, Nectar (if you're into weed).
Just depends on what you like to do and how much time you have and if you have kids or a wife and whatever...
just me, motorbike and cameras. just taking long way to vancouver island to visit a friend and hang out for a week or so before heading back. no real schedule so will check out as much as I can. thanks.
Nice! My bro and I took bikes out to a place called Ucluelet and then Tofino. That's a nice ride. I seem to remember bringing my own set of tie down straps on the ferry.
Here is a good thing to do - go out burnside heading west. Keep going. Take it all the way out until it hits skyline. go up skyline and you will find the skyline Tavern. Also, the Skyline Diner. Take Germantown road back down and ride across the St Johns bridge. Go down to Cathedral park and take a peek back across the river from there. That's a fun little run.
