Clown World 1 - update on Astroworld - rumours of people injecting others with fentanyl, etc.

To me - it looks like the crowd is just trying to gain illegal entry to the concert.... here's more....

HOUSTON, Texas—Music fans as young as 14 were killed on Friday night as a panic-fueled crowd surged during rapper Travis Scott’s Astroworld Festival, turning the packed event it into one of the deadliest concerts in U.S. history.

Eight people died and 23 were hospitalized, including a 10-year-old child, in the crush during Scott’s livestreamed opening-night performance. Attendees described being crushed to the point of passing out, having their pleas for help ignored, and seeing overwhelmed medics struggle to evacuate bodies from the Houston event.

The eight victims’ ages ranged from 14 to 27, Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner said Saturday afternoon. At least 11 people were hospitalized suffering cardiac arrest and more than 300 of the 50,000 attendees were treated at a field hospital on the grounds that day.

Houston officials said Saturday afternoon they were still investigating the possible cause of the crush and whether there were any “missteps” in the planning and execution of the event.

Police Chief Troy Finner alluded to online rumors that the crush was possibly related to attendees being injected with drugs. But he said they only had evidence of one security guard being pricked in the neck with a needle while trying to apprehend a festival attendee. The guard fell unconscious, then was revived with Narcan, a drug to reverse the effects of fentanyl.

And Clown World II - a report from Cancun where machine gun toting criminals shoot people at a resort.

But - don't worry - no tourists were killed - just drug dealers....

A group of gunmen opened fire Thursday afternoon at a luxury seaside resort in Cancun packed with American vacationers, according to Mexican officials and eyewitnesses.

The terrifying incident reportedly began shortly after 3 p.m., when armed men descended on the Hyatt Ziva Riviera Cancun and began shooting.

In a statement, police in Quintana Roo attributed the gunfire to “armed individuals” who “took the lives of two men who are presumed to be drug dealers,” and that no tourists were “seriously injured or kidnapped.”

Vacationers said the shooting sent them scrambling to hide. Randle Roper, whose company, Vacaya, organizes LGBTQ package tours, is staying at the resort with a group of travelers from the U.S. He confirmed to The Daily Beast that there was a shooter on the grounds and that he and the other guests were sheltering in place.

Andrew Krop said his husband, Eric, who is at the resort, called and told him he “just ran” when he realized what was happening.

“He said he was on the beach and there was someone with a machine gun that started firing,” Krop, from Montana, told The Daily Beast, adding that he’s received an update from Eric that “the guests had been gathered in the resort lobby and they’re safe.”

Toddler killed in freeway shooting on I-880 in Oakland: CHP

:(

Guess it's ok because they didn't target the toddler.
Will CA show harsh penalties for breaking existing gun laws?
Doubt it.

Bonus -
Travis Scott continues singing while watching a dying/dead kid get carried out.
Now that's entertainment. Amirite?

CRITER on Twitter:

Might have been one of the fentanyl injections.
They used narcan on a bunch of people including a security guard.
Sounds like people in the crowd were injecting others.
Who knows? What a clusterfuck.

Judge Jeanine on being Woke
No idea who this woman is but I like her style....
JEANINE PIRRO: America is waking up. Perhaps we are even woke. But forget about the wokeness you’ve heard of in recent years. The enlightening that’s happening now is bigger, greater, and will continue to create shockwaves throughout this country. In other words, a new side of the aisle is now woke.

America is waking up. Yeah, we’re the woke ones now. You woke the sleeping giant and poked that bear in the eye. She came out of her cave with a vengeance. So you can take your progressive, racist, union-supporting, tax-sucking, American-hating, patriotic-hating agenda to the socialist countries where it belongs. It ain’t going to work here. Trust me on that.

"Over 70 air charter flights [on] jetliner airliners coming from the southwest border have landed at Jacksonville International Airport," Larry Keefe, DeSantis’s public safety czar, told The Washington Examiner.

"On average, there's 36 passengers on each of these flights. And that has been going on over the course of the summer through September," he said.

The Examiner reported that officials said the Biden administration has refused to tell the governor’s office about who is facilitating the flights and other information.

"We're in a sad situation of trying to run an investigation. Who is facilitating this travel? How are they getting here? Who are the support people? Who are the sponsors?" Keefe said.

Guy is going to get ruined
Scott is famous for encouraging fans to ignore security and crowd surf and stage dive in the mosh pit below him. A commercial for this year's Astroworld event, since removed from YouTube, shows fans breaking through barricades and storming the concert grounds at the 2019 event.

In 2015, Chicago officials said Scott encouraged fans at the Lollapalooza music festival to vault security barricades. The rapper was sentenced to one year of court supervision after pleading guilty to reckless conduct charges.

In 2017, Scott was arrested after he encouraged fans to bypass security and rush the stage during a concert in Arkansas, leaving a security guard, a police officer and several others injured. Scott faced several misdemeanor charges, including inciting a riot. He pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and paid a fine.

  • Ron Howard said studio executives were disrespectful after The Fonz became popular on "Happy Days."
  • Howard's Richie Cunningham was the lead, but Henry Winkler was "remarkable" as The Fonz, he said.
  • The two men are still good friends and Winkler is the godfather to Howard's children.

Ron Howard revealed that top studio and network executives involved with "Happy Days" treated him "with a lot of disrespect" after Henry Winkler's Arthur Herbert "The Fonz" Fonzarelli became more popular than his character, Richie Cunningham.

In an exclusive clip from Friday's upcoming episode of "The Graham Norton Show," Howard explained that while Richie was meant to be "the undeniable lead" of "Happy Days," Winkler was "remarkable" as The Fonz from the very first episode.

"We immediately bonded and became great friends. We were a fantastic ensemble, we all got along great," he told Norton of Winkler.

While it was "exciting" for Howard to watch the viewers fall in love with Winkler as Fonzie, he said "the studio heads" and "network heads" started "really treating me with a lot of disrespect from a business standpoint, just in terms of interaction."

"The press kept saying, 'What's it like? Do you feel that you've become a second-class citizen on your own show?'" Howard said. "Which I didn't feel within the workspace. And I certainly didn't feel it within our friendship [with Winkler], which endures to this day."

In fact, not only did the two men enjoy a close bond while working on "Happy Days," Howard told Norton that Winkler is godfather to all four of Howard's children, including actress Bryce Dallas Howard.

Moreover, his experience on the ABC sitcom pushed Howard, now an Academy Award-winning filmmaker, to become more serious about his dream to take charge behind the camera, producing and directing his own films.

Winkler separately told Insider in October that he kept getting passed over for comedy roles after "Happy Days" because people still saw him as The Fonz.

"People would say, 'Wow, he's funny. He's such a good actor. But he was The Fonz,'" Winkler said. "And so they would pass me by. You have to learn to find the strength in yourself to deal with that, reinvent yourself, move on."

LCPS had to pony up some cash for Tanner Cross' legal fees

Loudoun school board agrees to reverse suspension of teacher who spoke out against transgender policy | Fox News
he Loudoun County School Board has agreed to a permanent injunction prohibiting it from retaliating against Leesburg Elementary School teacher Tanner Cross, the teacher who got suspended for speaking out against the pro-transgender Policy 8040. The school board settled Cross's lawsuit by agreeing not to take further action against him, but Cross and other teachers are still challenging 8040 in court.

"Just today, the court issued a final order permanently prohibiting the Loudoun County Public School Board from punishing me for freely expressing my views," Cross said at a news conference after the settlement on Monday. "I can now confidently continue teaching at Leesburg Elementary School without fear of punishment for expressing my views."

Policy 8040 requires school staff to refer to students by their preferred pronouns, to open activities to students according to their gender identity, to allow students access to facilities corresponding to gender identity, and to complete training on topics related to LGBTQ+ students.

In the settlement, the school board, Loudoun County Superintendent Scott Ziegler and interim Assistant Superintendent Lucia Villa Sebastian agreed to remove any reference to Cross's suspension in his record, to abide by an injunction preventing them from retaliating against Cross for his speech against 8040 and to pay $20,000 in legal fees. The settlement is not an admission of guilt on the part of the defendants.

The suspension came shortly after Cross spoke out against 8040 during a school board meeting in May.

"I’m a teacher, but I serve God first, and I will not affirm that a biological boy can be a girl and vice versa because it’s against my religion, it’s lying to a child, it’s abuse to a child, and it’s sinning against our God," he said.

"Teachers shouldn’t be forced to promote ideologies that are harmful to their students and that they believe are false, and they certainly shouldn’t be silenced from commenting at public meetings," Tyson Langhofer, senior counsel at Alliance Defending Freedom, the law firm representing Cross, said in a statement on the settlement.

Courts had previously granted Cross temporary injunctions forcing Loudoun County Public Schools to reinstate him. In August, the court allowed ADF to amend its initial complaint to add new claims against 8040 and to include Loudoun County High School history teacher Monica Gill and Smart's Mill Middle School English teacher Kim Wright alongside Cross. That portion of the lawsuit against the board will continue.

"Freedom of speech and religion includes the freedom not to speak messages contrary to our core beliefs, and public schools shouldn’t require teachers to personally endorse a belief with which they disagree, but that’s exactly what policy 8040 does," Gill told Fox News on Monday. "It forces teachers to say things that are untrue and harmful to students."

"Words carry meaning," Gill had said at the news conference. "If teachers are forced to use a pronoun for a student that is not in alignment with their biological sex, they are conveying to that student the gender is fluid, and that is not true. That goes against biology, science, and reality."

She also faulted 8040 for letting "teachers keep parents in the dark."

A spokesman for LCPS told Fox News that the office does not comment on pending litigation. Members of the school board did not respond to Fox News' request for comment.

Sentenced to death in OK.
State and county prosecutors have said the evidence against Jones is overwhelming. Trial transcripts show witnesses identified Jones as the shooter and placed him with Howell’s stolen vehicle. Investigators also found the murder weapon wrapped in a bandana with Jones’ DNA in an attic space above his bedroom. Jones claims the murder weapon was placed there by the actual killer, who visited Jones’ house after Howell was shot.

Victims sister:
Howell’s sister, Megan Tobey, testified before the board that she distinctly remembers seeing Jones shoot her brother in front of his two young daughters.

“He is the same person today as he was 22 years ago. He’s still getting into trouble. He’s still in a gang. He’s still lying. And he still feels no shame, guilt or remorse for his action,” she said. “We need Julius Jones to be held responsible.”

They just commuted his sentence to life without parole while he was on the way to the injection.

Why?

“Thousands of people across Oklahoma, the country, and the world have called on the Governor to prevent Oklahoma from executing an innocent man,” Jones’ attorney, Amanda Bass, said in a statement earlier Thursday, adding: “Our hope is that the Governor will ensure that this execution does not go forward given the many concerns about the execution process and Mr. Jones’s case.”

Jones’ mother, Madeline-Davis-Jones, spoke to a group of about 300 people who gathered Wednesday at the Capitol outside Stitt’s office, chanting and singing hymns.

“I don’t want to go to a lynching,” she said, her voice rising with emotion. “... Why would I want to see someone hang? We should be through with that. Do you want your baby, your child to be hanged?”

Jones maintains he was framed by the actual killer, a high school friend and co-defendant who testified against him and was released from prison after 15 years.

The other night there was a flight from my local airport during the wee hours when flights aren't normally allowed and caught my attention. After hearing about this story a while ago I was kinda curious.

It was doing a daily a loop between El Paso, Tx to Greenville, SC to Toledo, OH.

Tail number N209TR doesn't show on Flight Aware but does come up on ADS-B Exchange. Just landed in Toledo from Laredo.

Man arrested for NE Portland shooting released from jail same day

PORTLAND, Ore. (KPTV) - A Portland man who has a criminal history dating back to 2006 was booked for gun charges related to a shooting that happened Wednesday evening. He was then released the same day.

Just before 8 p.m., police said officers witnessed 35-year-old Jessie Hall approach a parked vehicle, pull out a gun and fire a shot at a person who was running away. Hall got into the vehicle and later crashed it at North Farragut Street and North Curtis Avenue. He got out and ran off on foot.

Officers later found Hall in a nearby house and arrested him. A .380 Ruger semiautomatic pistol was recovered as evidence.

Hall was booked into the Multnomah County Jail for felon in possession of a firearm and unlawful use of a weapon. He could also later be charged with firing a gun within city limits. FOX 12 learned that Hall has a criminal history including drugs, identity theft and tampering with a witness.

According to the jail's website, Hall has already been released. His defense asked that he be given pre-trial release and the district attorney's office did not object under the condition that he not have weapons, firearms or ammunition.

Nick Smith lives near where Hall was arrested Wednesday. FOX 12 asked him what he thought about Hall's quick release from jail.

"He was out the same day? Wow. You would think they'd have to have - especially being shots fired, stolen car, him running from police and all this things, that you wouldn't have that," Smith said. "If he's willing to shoot a gun, steal a car, most likely it's going to happen again."

FOX 12 checked with the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office and there is no issue in the jail with overcrowding right now. FOX 12 also reached out to the district attorney's office, but have not heard back yet.

:Hmm:

The new normal in America is essentially going to boil down to blacks getting off scott free if they attack whites. Whites get arrested for anything you can imagine. Prison abuse for white prisoners will also skyrocket in the future.

Why would this company own a plane that large? One that appears to be on the move every day. Does seem odd.
