I couldn't help but laugh during this exchange. The DA instructed the detective investigating the case NOT to act on a warrant to obtain bicep boy's phone. That's a fairly key piece of evidence in the case.
Speaking of bicep boy:
-Ran at the defendant (who was on the ground and fighting off attackers) with a loaded pistol (for which he did not have a permit to carry)
-Lied to police in his statement regarding the events of the shooting, omitting he pointed his gun at the defendant (or even had one in his possession at the time).
-Made a social media post the following day saying he regretted not emptying his clip into the kid
-Refused to cooperate with the police investigation in providing further testimony or handing over key evidence.
-And oh yeah, is suing for $10M in damages.
Not the best witness to call on in this case.
