A family in California recently celebrated the birth of two new twins – who were born in different years.

Fatima Madrigal, from Greenfield, California, gave birth to Alfredo Antonio Trujillo at 11:45 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2021, according to a Facebook post from the Natividad Medical Center.

Fifteen minutes later, at exactly midnight on Jan. 1, 2022, Madrigal gave birth to Alfredo’s fraternal twin, Aylin Yolanda Trujillo.

U.S. troops stationed at a military base in Iraq were attacked on Wednesday with a barrage of Katyusha rockets that landed inside the base.

“According to an Iraqi officer, an Iraqi base housing U.S. troops in the western Anbar province was hit with five Katyusha rockets on Wednesday evening; three other rockets fell outside the base’s parameter,” the Associated Press reported. “The officer, who spoke on condition of anonymity in line with regulations, said U.S.-led coalition forces at the base were forced into shelters by the barrage.”

Manhattan DA's halt to prison sentences for many crimes was backed by Jerry Nadler, other prominent Democrats
How dumb are the voters?

In a stunning reversal of traditional law enforcement procedures, Bragg sent a memo stressing "diversion and alternatives to incarceration" in prosecutions. The exceptions to the no-jail time offenses include murder, some sex offenses and white-collar corruption crimes. Several serious crimes, like armed robbery, are being reduced to misdemeanors.

In the case of murder, Bragg says his office will limit sentences to 20 years. He is refusing to seek the state-mandated "life without parole" for murderers, who would include terrorists, cop killers and even serial killers.

Also, guy likes to take race into account for the crimes.
Let's watch the area over 2022...

How does a DA change the laws? They are supposed to enforce the laws.

oh canada ... guilty! guilty! guilty!

The provincial government is moving to Phase Two of the Provincial Administrative Penalties Act and Justice Transformation Initiative next month and it will essentially eliminate traffic court, instead moving the process online.

"In essence what it is that, instead of you having the right to a trial, you do not get to go to trial. Instead of being presumed innocent until proven guilty, you're presumed guilty until proven innocent,"

Instead of getting a speeding or distracted driving ticket with a court date on it, it'll all be handled digitally through an online portal. People will instead have just a week to review a ticket with an adjudicator rather than a judge. The cost to review is a non-refundable fee of up to $150, depending on the amount of the fine.
