Two things to remember about this story.

1. Bidens have been doing this kind of shit for decades. They're used to their deep state lackeys covering up for them and that has made them very lazy -- I guess complacent is a better term for it. They've been getting away with it for so long they think they're invincible. The clear lack of political and criminal consequences for many career politicians in recent years, particularly establishment Democrats, has served to reinforce that idea.

2. Hunter has always been the family fuck-up. His brother Beau was the eldest and most successful of the Biden boys. Beau was probably meant to be the one playing the role of Biden Gatekeeper and running the family side-business while daddy did the "important" politicking. Hunter had to fill in after Beau died of brain cancer in 2015 and he was obviously never up to the task. If Beau were still alive there might not be a laptop. We'd probably have no idea how deep in the Chinese pockets their crime family is. But Hunter is a crackhead so here we are.
