[(#)SOCCER] 2007-2008 Season Thread Part II

mascherano was all over the pitch for the first 30 min makin all kindsa tackles/looking awesome/having the announcers continually say good stuff about him

then he gets a yellow for a medium-worthy challenge

then torres goes down and gets no card and starts arguing with the ref, ref gives him a yellow for arguing. torres DOESNT want to get another yellow and leaves. cue mascherano. he comes walking up with a big smile and starts arguing. after maybe 5 sec he gets his 2nd yellow and sent off. seems like the ref was trying to make a point, which is lame for a game this big

mascherano was yelling at the ref alot though, throughout the half/during fouls
 
What pisses me off is that the ref didn't pull him or anyone else over to talk to them once(on the liverpool side). No warnings, nothing. Shitty timing to try to make some kind of league wide statement.
 
not really surprised we got beat, kind of disappointed we got beaten so badly though


4 points in the next two matches would be nice though
 
sounds like masch should've laid off the ref but thats a tough lesson to learn in a game this big

i just hope this doesnt affect the teams confidence going down the stretch
