Chapter 8 Kill and/or Loot Collections

FAQ:

Collections are *not* repeatable

When crafting Gunboats, it is not possible to get a critical failure

All Schematics are tradeable, and the crafted items are tradeable

Every grouped person on a POB grinding these gets credit, much like GCW

Spawns come in 4 different kinds:
1. Fighters orbitting a static WP
2. YT Escort group (usually consists of YT and 4-5 fighters) Follows a set flightpath
3. GB Escort group (usually consists of GB and 4-6 fighters) Follows a set flightpath
4. Vette/Warlord Escort group (vettes are escorted by 2 GB and 6-8 fighters, Warlords usually by either fighters (Void Wing) or a combination of a YT and 4 fighters (Hidden Daggers)) Follows a set flightpath

Titles are currently bugged: Shows up as (_)Space_Pirate_Col_(blab la) or something aslong that line. (reported in feedback thread) Fixed!

Black Sun Warlords cruiser spawn is currently bugged? Spawns as a regular static fighter spawn (reported in feedback thread)

Droid ships are not always correctly labelled (feature/bug? reported in either case) Fixed!

Rebel Corvettes in Deepspace count toward the 25, The Rebel (named) Corvette in Ord Mantell do not.

Misc. Details

The YT's and Gunboats seem to fly a pre-planned flight path, which when they reach the end they hyper out. I have NOT followed the ships to mark the turn points in the flight path (it's NOT a straight line). I suspect there are at least 3 different turn points in each ship's flight path. I THINK there are two distinct flight paths for each type of ship (YT1300 & Gunboat).

Each ship has 4-5 escorting fighters/bombers. The bomber for the group, at least for the black sun collection, is USUALLY (90% of the time) one tier higher than the other ships in the group.

So far I've done the Tier 2 Rebel and Tier 1 on my Imp alt Bakus.

Tier 1 Rebels can all be found near the Rebel SpaceStation in Corellia Space at this WP -7132, 2340, 2013

Keep your eyes peeled and you will see the Rebel YT-1300 spawns near that station as well, you need 25 of them. Also, since you need 100 X-Wings and 100 Y-Wings and the YT escort is 1 of each plus an A-Wing, it's the best place to get your extra Y and X fighters after you complete the others, rather than continuing to tackle the gunboat escort 50 more times.

Tier 3 is what I'm working on right now, and I haven't yet found a reliable spawn of them to grind, when I do I'll update.

Tier 5 will basically be going into Kessel and taking them on 1 at a time. If your ship is reasonably well equipped with a big gun and shields, and good YPR engine, this should be no problem, no more difficult than your 30/30 kill master mission, just a lot more time consuming.

Tier 4 on the other hand is proving to be the most difficult. A couple of people have completed that collection already, but because of the rarity of individual Reb spawns it's dangerous since you have to look for and kill large groups all at once.
