i dont get it. fully upgraded elite castle units get mauled, when I press right click and send them into battle.

maybe you're being outmassed, or countered. I made a thread about unit counters.

someone who micros also has better unit control and can keep them in formation or pull them back to reform better as well
and that will murder you

oh ya, also if you're talking about infantry or cavalry, the armor upgrades at the blacksmith are pretty good at keeping your units alive.

what type of micro is there in this game. I just drag my army and right click them to someone else's army and watch them all die.

I'm use to micro in starcraft and i know the units well. so this AOE **** is frustrating.

if your issue is micro, I linked a couple videos in the learn 2 play thread about hill advantages and micro. you should check those out.

You are either getting out maneuvered, out numbered or countered...that's assuming you are upgrading your units in the blacksmith.
