Here is the trailer for the new CW spinoff, "Superman and Lois" from the current CW hit "Supergirl" (that has been cancelled after season 6).

Cliffs: Superman goes "front and center" to lead an Arrow-verse in decline with cancellations to both "Supergirl" and "Arrow." HBO will take over the television universe only to have the "movie DC Universe" become the dominant canon after TV's "Crisis of Infinite Earths."
But about "Superman and Lois," the latest Supergirl spin off: Clark and Lois move back to Smallville to raise their TWO teenagers, Jordan and Jon Kent. Only ONE of the teens has powers. The other does not. Lois still works for the Daily Planet in Metropolis. Clark still does his super hero thing against various antagonists such as General Sam Lane and two different incarnations of Luthor. In addition, both Superman and Lois face the challenges of raising two teens with very disparate power levels. It's a little bit Supergirl (the human Alex vs super human Kara power thing), a little bit Kobra Kai (Superman training his sons to be super hero fighters), a little bit Christopher Reeve Superman (the man, the mystery, and the myth), and a little bit "Movie Justice League" with guest stars galore including the Batman, Flash, and yes, Supergirl.
I'm more than a bit intimidated by the very insider, fanboy presentation here with much knowledge being required about the history of the various and different DC earths. Can this be done to attract casual viewers who are NOT hardcore fanboys?
